Watermark is a master-planned community that will offer all the conveniences of living in a town. Unlike subdivisions, it has planned recreational opportunities and architectural guidelines over and above the cities planning and building codes to protect the integrity of the look and feel of the community. 

Who are the builders in Watermark? 
If you are interested in a single-family home at Watermark you may choose your own builder. The builder must incorporate the community’s Architectural Guidelines into the design of your new home and the design must be approved before you begin building your new home.

It is a short (approximately) 8 mile drive that generally taking less than 18 minutes.

Is it convenient to shopping, dining and medical facilities?
Yes, everything you need is within a 3 mile radius. There are several grocery stores, the East Cooper Medical Center is less than a mile away and for specialty shops and great places to eat, just a quick drive and you arrive at the Mount Pleasant Towne Center where there is plenty of parking.

How far will I be from an airport?
Charleston International Airport is less than 8 miles via main thoroughfares. Generally it takes 15 minutes from Watermark to reach the airport. 

When is Watermark scheduled to be completed?
Watermark is scheduled to be completed in approximately 2 years. Due to the nature of custom homes it may be several years after the community is sold that construction is completed throughout the neighborhoods. 

Can I keep my own boat for the lake on my property?
No.

Can we bring in our own builder or do we have to use yours?
You may choose your own builder. The builder must incorporate the community’s Architectural Guidelines into the design of your new home, and the design must be approved before you begin building your new home. 

Which schools do Watermark residences attend?
Mount Pleasant's public schools are part of the Charleston County School District, so for Watermark residents this includes Mamie Whitesides Elementary School, Laing Middle School and Wando High School. Greater Charleston schools offer innovative programs like the Can Do Team that participates in a NASA program called EarthKam, a Science Resource Center that provides all teachers and students with hands-on science materials.

Less than 6 miles from Watermark is Charleston’s only access to the barrier island beaches of Sullivan’s Island and Isle of Palms.
